Saturday Night Fun?

My clothes dryer finally died, or at least worried me enough to react. That squeaky bearing/bushing, after months of annoying noise, finally transitioned from a high pitched squeal to heating the dryer almost too hot to touch. So, last night at 7:30PM, had to make a run to Sears to get another one. Now the fun begins!

After a leisurely stroll through the Craftsman tools, I take ten minutes in the appliance area to find the make (Maytag) and model (minimal decision making knobs) and join the gaggle hovering around the two sales people at the register where one lady is grilling the sales person about every line of whatever they are looking at. I finally make eye contact with a guy who was obviously her husband. He had the typical "shoot me now and put me out of my misery" look. I sometimes wonder if gals know they do that to us guys.

Anyway, a third sales guy showed up and we closed the deal in ten minutes, with delivery on Tuesday. On my way out, I made eye contact with the just-
shoot-me guy who could only shrug his shoulders in resignation.

He can suffer in quiet desperation....I"m going to go look at a drill press. :)

Don't tell me I don't know how to have fun on a Saturday night. LOL

  1. Yes, we know what we are doing. It's called revenge (insert evil chuckle here). Here's the most obvious example of a reason (there are sooooo many others). It's what guys do to us when it's time to buy a new vehicle. It took me a total of 20 minutes to buy my last two cars on my own. When there's a male in the mix, it's necessary to study consumer's reports, go from showroom to showroom, test drive every vehicle on the lot and then start haggling. After all that, they can't even pick a decent car colour. Am I correct?
